Good Morning. I liked the idea of using these for independent reading as it gives a task that is not going to take away the joy of reading. However, I watched to the end of the video for the download info, but nothing showed up. I logged in, but was not able to find the detail either. Help!

    Sincerely,

    Howard

Hey @Howard thanks so much for reaching out.

I am so happy you want to try the bookmarks. I am using them today with my students and they love them since they are so quick and easy to use.

To grab the downloads from the two-minute tips videos, there will be a blank screen once the video completely plays through to the end with a button that says “download” at the end.

You can click that button and get the pdf download and you should have the materials needed 🙂

Here is the link to this week’s materials 🙂

    Good Afternoon Chuck,

Thank you for the reply and the link to download the bookmarks. We are just finishing Quarter One and then have a Fall Break. I look forward to giving these a try with my students upon our return. Have you used this for nonfiction as well? I think it should work well as many of the reactions occur regardless of the text.

    Have a great Wednesday.

      Hey @Howard No problem 🙂

I think your students will love them. I have actually used them for non fiction in the past and they worked well. When using them with articles, I had a bunch of articles based around the same topic and had students fill out the bookmarks after reading each article. After we read 5 articles, I had them fill out the graph using their bookmarks and write their overall reflections

I have also used these with non-fiction longer text as well and they work very similar to how they would with fiction 🙂

I hope your students enjoy them. Would love to know how it goes when you use them.

Have a great Wednesday as well!
